Quartz is a man-made stone, made from natural quartz chips and fillers, with a small amount of resin binder. These are combined together and “cast” and then cured to produce sheets of stone.
The main advantage of quartz is that it has a more uniform look than natural granite or marble, and some people prefer this, especially in lighter colours.
